Creating a Store

This guide walks you through creating a new WooCommerce store on Urumi.

Prerequisites

Before creating a store, ensure you have:

  • An active Urumi account with accepted platform invitation
  • Available store credits (check your dashboard header)

Create a New Store

  1. From your dashboard, click the Create Store button in the top right

  2. In the modal that appears, enter your Store Name

    • This will be used in your store's URL
    • Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
    • Example: my-awesome-store
  1. Click Create Store to begin provisioning

Provisioning Process

After clicking Create Store, your new store will begin provisioning:

  1. Initialization - Infrastructure is being prepared
  2. WordPress Setup - WordPress and WooCommerce are installed
  3. Configuration - Your store is configured with default settings
  4. Ready - Your store is active and accessible

The entire process typically takes 1-2 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator on the store card.

Stay on the Page

You can navigate away during provisioning. When you return, you'll see the current progress or your completed store.

After Creation

Once your store is active, you'll be automatically redirected to the Urumi AI assistant where you can:

  • Ask questions about setting up your store
  • Get help configuring WooCommerce
  • Learn about available features

Migrating an Existing Store

If you already have a WordPress/WooCommerce store and want to move it to Urumi:

  1. Click the Migrate Store button on your dashboard
  2. Follow the migration wizard to connect your existing store
  3. Urumi will import your content, products, and settings

Troubleshooting

"No store credits available"

Your account has reached its store limit. Options:

  • Delete unused stores to free up credits
  • Contact support for additional credits

"Create Store" button is disabled

This can happen if:

  • Your platform invitation hasn't been accepted yet
  • You have no remaining store credits

Provisioning takes longer than expected

If provisioning exceeds 5 minutes:

  1. Refresh the page to check current status
  2. If still pending, contact [email protected] with your store name
