File Uploads & Screenshots
Provide Urumi AI with visual context by uploading screenshots, images, or documents.
Why Upload Files?
File uploads help Urumi AI understand:
- Visual issues - Show exactly what's wrong with a screenshot
- Design references - Share mockups or design inspiration
- Error messages - Capture error screens for debugging
- Documentation - Share specs or requirements
Supported File Types
| Type | Extensions | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Images | PNG, JPG, GIF | Screenshots, designs, errors |
| Documents | Specifications, requirements | |
| Text files | TXT, MD | Code snippets, notes |
Taking Screenshots

- Click the screenshot icon in the chat input area
- Your Development site preview is captured
- Annotate or crop if needed
- The screenshot is automatically attached

- Select a file from your device
- The file is uploaded and previewed
- Add your message describing the context
Best Practices for Screenshots
Capturing Issues
When sharing visual bugs:
- Full context - Include surrounding elements
- Clear highlighting - Circle or arrow the problem area
- Multiple angles - Show before/after if relevant
Providing Context
Always include a description with your upload:
"The checkout button is misaligned on mobile (see attached screenshot)"
rather than just uploading the image without context.
File Size Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Max file size | 10 MB |
| Max files per message | 5 |
Large Files
For very large files, consider compressing images or splitting documents.
Removing Attachments
Before sending your message:
- Click the X on any attached file to remove it
- You can re-attach different files
Using Screenshots Effectively
Show, Don't Tell
Instead of:
"The header looks weird"
Try:
"The header spacing is off - see the gap between the logo and menu" (+ screenshot with arrow)
Compare Versions
Upload multiple screenshots to show:
- Current state vs. desired state
- Desktop vs. mobile views
- Before and after changes
